Uzbekistan Havo Yollari (Uzbekistan Airways) plans to purchase four Airbus A320 aircrafts of the classic modification and the Airbus A320 Neo.

The airline said that the aircrafts are improved versions of narrow-body passenger jet aircraft. With comparable capacity (an average of 150-200 seats), updated aircraft, thanks to more economical engines and modern developments in the design of the fuselage, can significantly save fuel.

According to the press service of the airline, the aircraft will be purchased with the leasing. The airline noted that it had held talks with representatives of the company, which offered Airbus A321 aircraft on leasing.

The sides discussed technical aspects. Uzbekistan Havo Yollari acquainted representatives of the leasing company with its requirements and has commented on commercial offers.

The Uzbek airline intends to negotiate with other companies, which offer aircrafts for leasing. The company said it plans to purchase aircraft in 2018.

The airline also said that it had met with the Director of Marketing for the Middle East and Central Asia of Boeing company Ismail Robban.

The sides discussed expansion of the geography of flights to other cities of Uzbekistan and increase in number of air passengers, being transported. Representatives of Boeing presented their vision on development of the route network of Uzbekistan Airways and what fleet of aircraft will be required for the period until 2030.
